perhaps they 'tweak' us onward,
keep our progress moving forward.

perhaps we are 'mentored'
our identity to be centered.

perhaps we disappoint...

"final report - garden failure"

on a planet, in a forest, by a gently flowing stream,
the colors may be alien but what matters is our dream,
a dream of their survival in an elemental way,
the same as all the entities we represent today.

vast changes in the flow, as in evolution's path,
their arrogance is showing. they tinker with the math.
natural - intentional, how do we make this choice?
how make this last decision, who is to have the voice?

perhaps the only answer is to simply turn our backs,
but would we be at fault for a disaster in our tracks?
one thing is for certain, there is failure on this site,
as we leave would it be best to turn off every light?
