Literature Text

'tis more noble to bide and search for truth
than to bravely fight and die for lies?
...[when a man is wont to prove his worth
yet to serve a living Dulcinea].

a man declared his reason for life,
to lay it down for truth and beauty,
his horse and sword in lieu of wife,
in gift of self he swore his duty.

he would do honor to fight and die
for his Dulcinea, to see her safe,
be held ever after in her esteem,
to feel her fallen tear upon his name.

whence a man is wont to prove his worth,
'tis most noble to fight and die for truth.

romanticism allows a sonnet of sorts.
not all my poetry is cool logic.

edit - swapped the last two lines. - same day as post.
edit - a couple minor word changes for nuance. - ditto.
